About Kate

Kate completed her Doctorate of Clinical Psychology at the University of Sydney and since that time has worked with people of all ages experiencing conflict in their relationships as well as mental health issues and stress.

Kate is particularly interested in how our wellbeing impacts our relationships with others and how our relationships influence our mental health. Her approach is warm, practical and evidence-based. She tries to create a safe, regulating space where her clients can reflect on their challenges with the help of someone objective. She has trained in DBT and Compassion Focussed Therapy and finds these approaches allow people to feel more capable in managing their emotions and thoughts.

Kate has a special interest in working with parents, helping them navigate different developmental phases, including perinatal support and life transitions (parental separation or illness). She has completed mindfulness based parenting intervention training and is a Mindful with Your Baby facilitator.
