About Phoebe
First of all, I really love my work. I was always going to end up in the helping profession, since it runs in the family. You’ll find me warm, gentle, and compassionate, with a touch of humour and authenticity. I’m a therapist who has been in therapy, and grateful for that.
I’m a Clinical Psychologist who completed a Bachelor of Science (Advanced) with Honours in Psychology from The University of New South Wales (2008), and a Master in Psychology (Clinical) from the University of Wollongong in 2010. I have worked across the lifespan, with young and older.
As I was working with young people, I quickly realised that I needed to understand more about the workings of families and relationships, and so I completed a Diploma in Relationship Counselling (Couples and Family Therapy) with Relationships Australia in 2018. This further cemented my love of relationship work, and I saw clients have better outcomes with this approach. I see good relationships as essential to our wellbeing.
My key areas of expertise are Relationships, Family Dynamics, Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Self-Esteem, Trauma, Chronic Pain and Chronic Health Issues, and Grief. I have also worked in the area of Autism Spectrum Disorder, and ADHD. I have worked with War-Related and other trauma, and work compassionately to help individuals feel safe again in the world and in their relationships.
My therapy room is a welcoming space for those who identify as LGBTQIA+ and for all cultures. I have worked with diversity in gender and sexuality.
I am board-approved supervisor and supervise provisional psychologists completing their registration. I love supporting future psychologists and am a lifelong lover of learning. I am fully registered with AHPRA, the Psychology Board of Australia and the Australian Psychological Society. I am a member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association.
